“I felt that the article in TIME on attachment parenting was unfortunately a tad extreme. I support attachment parenting 100%… And have a very happy and healthy little girl to show for it. It’s time we support what’s healthy (breast feeding) instead of judge it.”

I think this picture of Maggie Gyllenhall is my favorite of the celebrity breastfeeding pictures because this what the reality should and could be. It’s normal to breastfeed in public and we shouldn’t have to work hard to cover it up to protect those who are uncomfortable. Plus it casts a light of normalcy on a famed figure.

This is a great post. So many people out there think breastfeeding is so weird and 6 months should be the limit. For once, hopefully celebrities can help enlighten people on a great subject!
Thanks for the comment! You are right—one would think that celebrities won’t be scrutinized or criticized in the same way as the general public.
Right. It’s time for them to stop being useless (fashion, name choices, spending habits, etc.) and actually influence people in the right direction!

This is a great post. I think the more we can “normalize” breast feeding the better. But at the same time it is a sad statement that it needs to be normalized.
I enjoy your posts so much so I am passing the “Tell Me About Yourself” award to you!
